Reverse description The reverse displays a heraldic shield set within a recessed square frame, rendered in the incuse manner typical of thin hammered pfennig coinage. The shield bears what appears to be the Bavarian lozengy (diamond) device, visible as a pointed charge centrally placed. The lower portion of the shield is framed by a crescent or curved decorative element, possibly representing a helmet crest or supportive ornament. The flan edges are irregular and clipped, consistent with hand-struck medieval bracteate-type minor coinage. The overall design is stark and unlettered, relying solely on the heraldic device for identification.
