| 背面描述 | Blank, with no design, legend, or decorative elements. The reverse is entirely plain, consistent with the single-sided (einseitig) striking technique commonly employed for pfennigs of this type and period. |

Baden's Lilienpfennig series spans roughly six decades of the margraves' minting activity during a period when the Upper Rhine was glutted with competing bracteate and heller-weight small change from dozens of territorial lords. The angled shield variant catalogued by Wielandt as #29c distinguishes itself from related emissions by die axis and shield orientation — a deliberate or accidental deviation that has generated its own reference chain across Wielandt, Ebner & Löbbecke, and Berstett.
Billon of this period in the southwestern German territories was frequently debased to the threshold of legality under imperial mint ordinances, and surviving pieces often show the consequences in surface quality.
