| 表面の説明 | Central fleur-de-lis (lily) motif with a horizontal crossbar at its base, below which appears an angled heraldic shield bearing the civic arms of Strasbourg, oriented toward the left. Two small pellets flank the central device on either side of the field. The design is encircled by a border of twenty-six pellets with a small rosette positioned at the top of the ring. The overall composition is characteristic of the late medieval Alsatian bracteate-related pfennig tradition, struck on a thin, irregular flan. |

Strasbourg's municipal coinage of this period emerged from the city's hard-won status as a free imperial city, answerable to the emperor rather than to local bishops who had previously controlled the mint.
