Obverse description Central device comprises a bold fleur-de-lis mounted upon a cross pattée, rendered in high relief against a flat field. The fleur-de-lis, the civic emblem of Strasbourg, is depicted with characteristic trilobed upper petals and flanking volutes. The entire design is encircled by a beaded border of large pellets arranged at regular intervals around the coin's periphery. The fabric is irregular and hand-struck, consistent with late medieval hammered coinage. No legend or inscription is present; the composition is entirely heraldic.

Reverse description The reverse is uniface or blank, as is typical of the thin, single-sided Pfennig coinage (Einseitiger Pfennig) produced by the Strasbourg mint during the late fifteenth and early sixteenth centuries. The planchet surface shows natural flow lines and hammer marks resulting from the hand-striking process. No design, legend, or inscription appears on this side.
