Obverse description Central field displays the quartered arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg within a plain shield, showing the traditional checky and plain divisions associated with the see. The two-digit date is struck above the shield in the upper field. The coin exhibits the characteristic irregular flan and shallow relief typical of early sixteenth-century hammered billon pfennigs from the Salzburg mint under Archbishop Leonhard von Keutschach.
