Obverse description Octagonal zinc notgeld token with a plain pearl border running along the inner edge of the coin. A continuous circular beaded ring encloses the central field, within which the numeral '1' appears in large, bold relief as the denomination. The circumferential legend, separated by a five-pointed star on each side, reads 'GROHMANN & FROSCH' across the upper arc and 'LEIPZIG-PLAGWITZ' across the lower arc, all in incuse Latin capitals.

Reverse description Octagonal reverse sharing the same pearl border design as the obverse. A rope or twisted-cord inner circle replaces the beaded ring of the obverse, enclosing the central field where the numeral '1' appears in bold raised relief. The circumferential legend 'KLEINGELDERSATZMARKE' occupies the upper and side arc in incuse Latin capitals, denoting the token's function as a small-change substitute. Three five-pointed stars are evenly spaced along the lower arc, serving as decorative punctuation.
