| 备注 |
Ettal Abbey's farming and estate administration — the Klostergutsverwaltung — issued this note during the acute small-change shortage that gripped Germany from around 1916 onward, when hoarding and metal requisitioning stripped copper and nickel coinage from daily commerce almost entirely. Religious institutions with working estates were among the more unusual Notgeld issuers, needing fractional currency for wages and local transactions with lay workers and suppliers. J. P. Himmer of Augsburg was a regional commercial printer that handled a significant volume of Bavarian Notgeld work during this period, not a specialist security printer.
