| Obverse description | Uniface hammered copper pfennig depicting a crudely struck double-headed imperial eagle displayed in the field, with wings spread wide and feathers rendered as radiating lines. The eagle's two crowned heads face outward to either side, characteristic of the Holy Roman Empire heraldic style. The abbreviated last two digits of the date, rendered as 'Z1' (for 21, i.e. 1621), appear within or adjacent to the eagle's body. The coin is struck on a roughly circular flan with a dotted or granular border visible around the rim, typical of emergency Kipper coinage of the period. |
