| Descrizione del dritto | Three heraldic emblems arranged in the field alongside a partial date: the Fuldaer Stiftskreuz (Abbey cross of Fulda) positioned above, the eagle of the Burggrafschaft Nürnberg to the left, and the hen of the County of Henneberg to the right. The last two digits of the year appear in the field, rendered in the Gothic numeral style typical of early sixteenth-century German pfennigs. The design is characteristic of the small hammered bracteate-style coinage issued under Abbot John III of Henneberg, with the devices struck in low relief on a thin, irregularly shaped flan. |
