| Beschrijving voorzijde | Divided shield bearing the arms of the Bishopric of Würzburg: to the left, three sinister-facing chevrons (the arms of the von Grumbach family) over the letter 'D' in the base; to the right, a rampant figure (the Franconian rake or lion) within the shield. A small cross or episcopal symbol appears above the shield. The entire design is struck on an irregular flan with a beaded border, typical of late medieval hammered coinage. |
