Reverse description The reverse presents a large ornate cartouche or escutcheon in Gothic style, surmounted by a decorative crown with a small cross at its apex. At the center of the cartouche is the Dresden arms, depicting a demi-wheel or similar civic device. The date 1690 is prominently rendered in large numerals flanking the cartouche, with '16' to the left and '90' to the right. The composition is simple yet bold, occupying the majority of the reverse field, surrounded by a beaded border consistent with the obverse.
