Obverse description Elaborate cursive cypher of the initials JF (for Johann Friedrich, Prince of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt) in relief at centre, the interlaced letters rendered in an ornate calligraphic style. The monogram is flanked on either side by decorative foliate branches. Above the cypher, a princely crown with visible arches and jewelled band surmounts the composition, filling the upper field.

Reverse description Five lines of bold Latin text fill the central field, reading the denomination and issuing authority: the numeral I at top, followed by PFENNIG, F.S.RUDOL, STADT.L., and MUNTZ, with the date 1761 along the lower exergue. The entire design is contained within a finely milled or grained inner border that runs around the full circumference of the reverse, giving the piece a crisp, structured appearance characteristic of small German territorial copper coinage of the mid-eighteenth century.
