Obverse description Central field features the crowned arms of Montfort, depicting a quartered shield surmounted by a comital crown with visible ornamentation. The heraldic device is rendered in low relief characteristic of small hammered billon coinage of the early seventeenth century. The shield displays the traditional Montfort motif, with the surrounding field exhibiting the uneven flan typical of hand-struck pfennig issues. No peripheral legend is present on this face.
