Obverse description The octagonal flan bears a beaded inner rim enclosing the elaborately detailed coat of arms of Hof, depicting three towers with onion domes above a central shield charged with a lion, flanked by two standing armoured figures as supporters, with trees in the outer field. A ribbon cartouche appears at the base of the arms. The city name legend STADT HOF arcs across the upper field in raised Latin letters.

Reverse description The octagonal reverse features a beaded inner rim running along all eight sides. The large numeral '1' is prominently centered in the field, with a horizontal bar beneath it indicating the denomination.
