Obverse description The crowned Reuss lion rampant left, depicted in a vigorous heraldic stance with raised forepaw and flowing tail, set upon a decorative scrollwork base. The lion is rendered in bold relief against a plain field, characteristic of the small-denomination coinage of the Reuss principalities in the eighteenth century. No peripheral legend is present on this side of the coin.

Reverse description The denomination numeral '1' appears at the top of the field, followed by the inscription 'PFENNIG' on the next line, with the initials 'G·R·P·' (Grafschaft Reuss-Plauen) centered below. The word 'GREIZER' occupies the following line, referencing the mint or territorial authority at Greiz, with the mint-master initials 'L·M·' beneath, and the date '1760' in the exergue area. All lettering is in Roman capitals within a plain circular field, with a reeded border visible on the coin's edge.
