Descrizione del dritto	Outer pearl border encircles the design field. The legend LANDKREIS-HALBERSTADT runs along the periphery, flanked at the base by two six-pointed star ornaments. An inner beaded circle frames the central denomination numeral '1', rendered in large raised figures within a raised circular border, creating a concentric ring composition typical of German notgeld coinage.

Descrizione del rovescio	Outer pearl border surrounds the full-field composition. The Halberstadt district coat of arms is centrally displayed, supported on either side by two robed female allegorical figures standing on a common base and each grasping the shield. Above the shield, a cartouche surmounted by a spoked wheel charge; a second spoked wheel charge appears in the lower portion of the shield. The heraldic composition is rendered in fine detail without additional legend.
