Obverse description Central field features the elaborately interlaced royal cypher 'GR' (Georgius Rex) rendered in ornate cursive script, surmounted by a large Hanoverian crown with arched bands and jewelled detail. The date appears in the lower field beneath the monogram, separated by a period. The design is unencircled, occupying the full flan with no surrounding legend.
