Reverse description Plain, uniface-style reverse displaying the Palatinate orb — a crowned spherical device surmounted by a cross pattée — struck in high relief against an unadorned field, with no legend or additional devices. The flan edges are ragged and irregular, consistent with hand-hammered production at the Heidelberg mint. This type is characteristic of small-denomination Pfennig coinage of the Electoral Palatinate in the early seventeenth century.
