Reverse description The reverse of this hammered Pfennig appears uniface or bears no distinct secondary design, consistent with small-denomination bracteate-influenced coinage of the Palatinate in the early sixteenth century. The fabric shows the characteristic uneven surface and flan irregularities associated with hand-struck silver issues of this period.
