| Obverse description | Central design features the Arms of Styria — a rampant panther spitting fire to the left — set within an ornate oval cartouche. The cartouche is framed by a rhombus border, with decorative dots and rosettes occupying the outer field. The initial F (for Ferdinand III) appears above the shield, while the date is split into three components positioned to the left, right, and below the central device. The overall composition is characteristic of the small hammered pfennig coinage of Inner Austria in the seventeenth century. |
