Reverse description Central field displays a small heraldic shield, enclosed within a lozenge (rhombus-shaped) frame, positioned in the upper portion of the flan. The date 1522 appears above or adjacent to the shield within the rhombus, rendered in Gothic numeral style as '15ZZ'. The overall design is rendered in low relief typical of early sixteenth-century hammered billon pfennig coinage from the Vienna mint, with an irregular flan and weak strike evident across portions of the design.
