Obverse description Rampant lion facing right occupying the central field, surrounded by small heart-shaped ornaments dispersed throughout the inner field, all enclosed within a beaded inner circle. A Latin circumscription legend runs between the inner circle and the outer beaded border, reading the ruler's name and title as Bishop of Minden. The overall style is characteristic of early 17th-century German hammered coinage, with bold if somewhat crude relief.
