正面铭文 LW H
背面描述 The reverse displays the denomination and date arranged in four lines across the central field: the numeral '1' flanked by ornamental rosette stops at the top, followed by 'PFEN' on the second line, 'NING' on the third line, and the date '1765' on the fourth line, with an additional rosette stop below. The design is surrounded by a reeded or milled border, giving the coin a distinctive edge treatment visible on this face.

附加信息

Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rochefort was a tiny Catholic enclave within the fractured sovereignty of the Holy Roman Empire, one of hundreds of micro-states whose right to strike coins — however small — was jealously guarded as a mark of princely status. Charles Thomas ruled from 1756 until his death in 1789, and pfennig issues of this type represent the most basic assertion of that minting privilege. The principality's coinage output was minimal by any measure, which is why even the humblest copper denominations from this house turn up infrequently today.
