Obverse description Two heraldic shields side by side — the Austrian fess on the left and the Styrian panther on the right — surmounted by an archducal crown. The date is divided by the crown, with two digits appearing on each side, a characteristic layout of Inner Austrian pfennig coinage of the late sixteenth century. The design is rendered in the simple, bold style typical of hammered small silver denominations of the period. No peripheral legend is present, the entire field being occupied by the armorial and dating elements.

Reverse description Uniface; the reverse is plain and smooth, bearing no design, inscription, or relief of any kind, as is standard for this type of thin hammered pfennig struck in the Inner Austrian territories during the reign of Archduke Charles II.
