Reverse description The reverse of this hammered pfennig is uniface or bears no distinct secondary design, as was common for small-denomination bracteate-style coins of the Brandenburg-Franconia margraves in the early 16th century. The field shows only the incuse impression of the obverse die strike, with the beaded border visible around the periphery.
