Obverse description A single Gothic letter, appearing as 'O' or 'G', rendered in relief at the center of the coin field, set within a plain raised border. The letter is boldly struck with characteristic medieval Gothic form, occupying the majority of the flan. The surrounding field is flat and unadorned, typical of the simple bracteate-influenced pfennig coinage of Lower Saxony in the late 14th century.
