Obverse description Half-length frontal effigy of a bishop turned to the left, depicted in episcopal vestments and holding a processional cross in one hand and a crozier in the other. The figure is rendered in a stylized Romanesque manner typical of early 13th-century German ecclesiastical bracteate coinage. The design is set within a plain inner circle, with the irregular flan characteristic of hammered medieval pfennigs.
