Obverse description Central field dominated by a long cross with a small shield at its centre bearing a divided design, characteristic of the Livonian Order's heraldic arms. Four decorative foliate or floral motifs occupy the quadrants formed by the cross arms. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner border, typical of hammered medieval coinage from the Baltic region. The overall style is crude and informal, consistent with the low-denomination billon issues of the Reval Mint under Master Bernd von der Borch.
