| 备注 |
Prisoner of war camp scrip from WWI-era Germany was issued under Army Corps authority specifically to prevent captive laborers from accumulating Reichsmark currency — a deliberate monetary containment policy that also applied to German civilians in controlled labor situations. The II. Bayerisches Armeekorps operated camps across Bavaria, and camp-specific denominations like this 1 Pfennig piece were printed locally in tiny quantities for canteen transactions only.
At this denomination, survival rates are poor. Most camp scrip was demonetized and pulped after 1918 repatriation.
