| Obverse description | Within a beaded inner circle, a large Gothic capital letter A occupies the central field, surmounted by an abbatial mitre. The circular legend D. G. ABBAS. COR. runs around the periphery, referencing the abbot of Corvey by the grace of God. The overall design is characteristic of small German ecclesiastical copper coinage of the mid-seventeenth century. |
