Reverse description Central motif of an eight-petalled rosette or flower within a beaded circle. Surrounding the inner circle are four Gothic arches, each surmounted by a cross, with pellets or dots filling the spaces between the arches. The overall design is geometric and heraldic in character, typical of episcopal coinage from the Bamberg mint in the late 13th century.
