Obverse description The obverse displays the crowned coat of arms of the Kingdom of Saxony, featuring the distinctive barry of ten or and sable field crossed by a bend of crancelin (a stylized wreath rendered in diagonal stripes). The shield is surmounted by a royal crown with prominent arches and orb. The design is rendered in fine relief against a plain field, with a dentilated border encircling the periphery. No legend appears on this side, the heraldic device serving as the sole identifying element.
