Obverse description Facing bust of a bishop or abbot, turned to the left, vested in liturgical vestments and wearing a mitra (mitre); the right hand extended in a gesture of benediction, the left hand holding a crozier. The figure is rendered in the flat, linear style typical of medieval German bracteate-influenced pfennigs of the mid-13th century.
