正面描述 Within a plain inner circle, the conjoined Gothic monogram 'AH' (standing for Albertus Herzog, referencing Duke Albert V of Bavaria) is displayed in relief at center field. The monogram is rendered in a bold, angular Gothic style characteristic of late 16th-century Bavarian coinage. The flan is irregular and slightly squared at the edges, as is typical of hammered pfennig coinage of this period.

附加信息

Albert V of Bavaria died in 1579, placing this issue squarely across the boundary of his reign and that of his son Wilhelm V. Small silver pfennigs of this type were struck in enormous quantities to service everyday commerce in the duchy, yet their thinness and low intrinsic value meant most were discarded or melted without ceremony. The Wittelsbach mints at Munich and Amberg both contributed to production during these years, and distinguishing their output often requires die study rather than mint marks alone.
