Obverse description Within a beaded inner circle, the conjoined letters H and A appear in Gothic script, serving as the monogram of Duke Albert (Herzog Albert) of Bavaria. The legends are absent, with the monogram occupying the central field. The flan is irregular, typical of hammered coinage of the early sixteenth century.
