| Obverse description | The civic arms of Augsburg displayed within an oval cartouche, featuring the characteristic pine cone emblem of the city set upon a vertically lined shield. The cartouche is surmounted by an ornamental bow or ribbon knot and flanked on either side by draped fabric swags terminating in decorative tassels, forming a tall vertical garland frame. The composition is rendered in a Neoclassical decorative style typical of late Holy Roman Empire municipal coinage. A fine inner beaded border encircles the entire design within the plain field. |
