| 表面の説明 | The quartered coat of arms of Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rochefort occupies the central field, displayed within a circular shield surmounted by a crowned helm with ornamental mantling. The upper quarters bear an eagle device, while the lower quarters feature horizontal barry lines interspersed with small charges. Partial lettering is visible around the periphery, partially obscured by wear. The coin is struck with a milled edge and exhibits a modest relief typical of late 18th-century German minor coinage. |

Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rochefort was among the smallest of the German mediatized territories, a county whose coining rights survived into the late Holy Roman Empire essentially by bureaucratic inertia. This piece dates from the final years before the Empire's dissolution in 1806, after which the house lost its sovereignty entirely to the Confederation of the Rhine and later Baden.
At 0.25 g billon, this is penny coinage in the most literal sense — fractional currency for local market transactions in a territory of negligible economic weight. KM#25 is rarely encountered in any grade above Fine.
