Obverse description Central field bears the city arms of Drossen, depicting a double-headed eagle displayed within a rectangular shield, the divided date numerals flanking the shield to the left and right in the field. The mintmaster's initial or city initial 'D' appears below the shield. The design is characteristic of early 17th-century German municipal coinage, struck on an irregular hammered copper flan with a plain inner circle framing the central device.
Obverse script Latin
