The date numerals appear divided above the shield, split across the upper left and upper right fields. A small mintmaster's mark or initial appears at the base of the design. The coin exhibits the characteristic irregular flan and bold, if somewhat crude, die work typical of early seventeenth-century German hammered pfennigs. |
