| Obverse description | Central device depicts the coat of arms of Sint Maarten, featuring a shield supported by two pelicans with wings displayed, surmounted by a flaming torch finial above a wreath. The legend SINT MAARTEN arcs along the upper periphery, and the date 2019 appears in the lower field. The design is rendered in a bold, struck relief against a smooth field. |

| Additional information |
Sint Maarten has no indigenous currency of its own — the island uses the Netherlands Antillean guilder — which makes this "1 Peso" issue a fiction by design, a privately produced novelty struck for the tourist and collector trade rather than any governmental monetary authority. The Stegosaurus theme has no connection to the island's geology or history; the Caribbean basin has yielded no significant dinosaur fossil record whatsoever.
