Aanvullende informatie

Cuba's commemorative peso program of the early 1980s was one of the more prolific in the Western Hemisphere, producing dozens of collector issues targeting the international hard-currency market rather than domestic circulation. This piece belongs to a series marking the 1984 Sarajevo Winter Olympics — an event that Yugoslavia hosted at enormous expense and considerable national pride, only to see the venues shelled and destroyed less than a decade later during the siege of Sarajevo.
