附加信息

Guatemala's monetary system was in turmoil throughout the early 1890s as the country navigated between the old real-based coinage and a modernized decimal system. This 1893 pattern was produced amid deliberations over currency reform that would eventually culminate in the introduction of the peso as official coinage — making pieces like this part of the exploratory process rather than any settled policy decision.

KM#Pn16 is among a small cluster of silver patterns documented from this period, most struck in extremely limited numbers for official examination. Few survive outside major institutional collections.
