| 背面描述 | Central field features the oval national coat of arms of Uruguay, quartered with scales of justice, a fortress, a horse, and a bull, surmounted by a radiant sun. The shield is flanked on either side by laurel branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow. A ring of nineteen five-pointed stars encircles the entire composition, referencing the nineteen departments of Uruguay. The denomination '1' appears immediately below the coat of arms, with 'PESO' inscribed in large letters along the lower field. The design is enclosed within a dentilated border. |

Uruguay's 1960 centenary celebrations marked 150 years since the May Revolution, and a small number of pattern pieces were struck in gold to evaluate proposed coinage designs that ultimately never entered circulation. The KM#Pn58 designation places this among a cluster of pattern strikings from that commemorative program, most produced in extremely limited numbers for official presentation or ministerial approval.
Pattern survivors from this issue rarely appear at auction.
