| Obverse description | The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield divided into three sections: the upper portion bears a rising sun over a mountainous seascape with a key symbolizing Cuba's geographic position, the lower left quarter displays the national flag motif with blue and white stripes, and the lower right quarter features a royal palm tree. The shield is surmounted by a Phrygian cap atop a staff, flanked on either side by branches of laurel and oak.
