Aanvullende informatie

Cuba's Independence-themed peso issues of this period were produced primarily for the collector export market, generating hard currency at a time when the dual-currency system — the CUP alongside the convertible CUC — made foreign exchange a persistent state priority. Domestic circulation of silver coinage had been nonexistent for decades by this point.
