| 备注 |
Paraguay's Caja de Conversión was established in 1907 specifically to stabilize the peso fuerte after decades of inflationary chaos following the catastrophic War of the Triple Alliance, which had effectively destroyed the country's financial infrastructure and killed a significant portion of its population. The conversion board's notes were intended to be fully backed by gold and foreign exchange — a hard discipline the institution struggled to maintain almost from the start.
ABNC's engraving work on this series is typically fine, but the real interest lies in the issuer's brief operational window before monetary pressures eroded the convertibility guarantee it was founded to uphold.
