| 备注 |
Lezica y Lanús was a Buenos Aires commercial house that operated as army provisioner during the campaign against the montonera forces in the interior provinces. This note was issued under that provisioning contract — essentially a private scrip backed by the firm's credit rather than any state treasury, used to pay soldiers and settle accounts in the field when coin was unavailable.
The firm's involvement in military finance during the 1860s–70s provincial pacification campaigns is rarely documented in standard Argentine monetary histories, which focus on the Banco de la Provincia and later the Banco Nacional. Notes like this one circulated in a grey zone between commercial paper and military currency.
The watermark is one of the few security concessions on what was otherwise a privately produced instrument of limited circulation geography.
