| 正面描述 | The central vignette presents a large dog standing in a landscape setting with trees and a building in the background, rendered in fine intaglio engraving. Ornate numeral cartouches flank the vignette on both sides, with a decorative guilloche border running along all four edges incorporating repeated denomination inscriptions. The issuer's name 'EL BANCO DE CORRIENTES' is set in bold letterpress across the upper register, below which the promise-to-pay text reads 'pagará al portador y á la vista UN PESO FUERTE en moneda de ley,' with the place and date 'CORRIENTES, 15 de Marzo 1873' in manuscript. |

| 备注 |
Banco de Corrientes was a provincial bank operating in northeastern Argentina, and its note issues from the early 1870s occupy a genuinely obscure corner of Argentine financial history. The province had long run semi-autonomous monetary arrangements, partly out of geographic isolation and partly because Buenos Aires-dominated federal banking structures offered little practical reach into the Mesopotamia region. Provincial bank failures and currency chaos across Argentina during this period were common enough that notes like this one had short commercial lives.
The PS prefix in the Pick reference signals this as a private or provincial issue — outside the mainstream federal series — and surviving examples are accordingly rare in any grade.
