Obverse description The Cuban national coat of arms is prominently displayed in the center of the obverse, featuring the traditional escutcheon with key, rising sun, and royal palm, flanked by an oak branch on the left and a laurel branch on the right, surmounted by the Phrygian cap on a pole. A curved legend reading REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcs along the upper periphery, while the face value 1 PESO is inscribed below the arms. Two five-pointed stars serve as separators flanking the face value inscription within the legend.
