The circular legend POR LA RAZON O LA FUERZA arcs around the upper field, and the host date — in this example 1854 — appears in the lower exergue flanked by two five-pointed stars. A second Guatemalan counter-stamp, struck with a circular punch depicting the Guatemalan coat of arms and inscribed REPUBLICA DE GUATEMALA, is prominently applied over the central field, partially overlapping the condor device. The dentilated border of the host coin remains visible around the full circumference. |
